Paul says that we are justified by the faith of Jesus. Thus there is nothing we can do to be justified; rather it is what He has done for us. Unfortunately, we keep trying to deserve our salvation. Instead, God's judgment is final. It is not up to us to continue judging. That means we are not to judge others nor ourselves. Only God does the judging and He already pronounced His judgment on the cross of Christ. It is finished.

God showed His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us (vs. 8). God does the showing. There is nothing for us to do. You cannot have a certain amount of belief to be saved. Instead, we watch what He did for us and accept it.

Christ's death for us leads us to now receive reconciliation. We are being restored to Him. As we accept the judgment of God as complete then the promises of God will live through us.
