Jesus continues His parables of judgment when He shares how a king was giving a wedding banquet for his son. He sends his slaves to call those invited to the banquet, but they all make excuses not to come. They even kill some of the slaves. The king sends his troops and destroys those murderers and their city. He then continues with the banquet and invites all those remaining in the streets, good and bad. During the banquet, he sees someone who is not wearing the wedding robes and charges that he should be thrown out into the darkness.
The beginning of this story is complete JOY by the Father. He wants a huge celebration and everyone to be involved. So all are invited to the wedding feast (which correlates to all are invited to the Kingdom of God). The invitation is not a time to sort the difference between people; they are invited because of the goodness of God. Note that the invitation is open but the party is mandatory. Also, dress appropriately...in Christian talk: put on Christ! In the end, all are called, but one is chosen. The One that leaves the party is similar to how Jesus leaves the spiritual realm to redeem us. All of our faith must rest on the One!
