The consequences of sin (not being at God's ideal for our lives) brought in death. And since all have sinned, all will have to die physically. But God's grace is greater in that through Jesus, He provides righteousness and justification to all. Adam, or more generally, mankind is a type or impression of what Jesus was to fulfill. Jesus fulfilled what God had originally intended for humanity to be and He leads us to join Him in that design and purpose.

Consequently, God is still in the process of creating us. We are not a finished product. We are like a glove that is ready to be filled to be useful for its designed purpose. And since we are designed by God to be united in Him, our only true fulfillment is in Christ alone. No substitute will every match Christ in filling our inner most needs and desires.

Since God has an ultimate plan with everyone, no person can truly be our enemy. Our true enemies are lies, arrogance, and disunity that have disrupted, confused, and tried to hinder God's plans for humanity.
