In Christ Jesus, there is no condemnation. Paul shares this truth after proclaiming how he wrestles with the two natures in him. We are set free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and of death, which Jesus conquered on the cross and His resurrection.

There are two types of minds: a carnal mind and a spiritual mind. The mind of the Spirit brings us life and peace. But the carnal mind is hostile to God and cannot please God.

Ultimately, because Christ's work is universal in nature, we cannot and should not judge condemnation on anyone. Only the Father has the right to judge and He declares no condemnation because of the works of Christ. We should not judge others or even ourselves because His judgment is the final and authoritative judgment.

Even though we are not condemned, our sins and our old ways have been condemned and have been crucified with Jesus. Being pronounced free from the law of sin and death does not give us an open license to live in sin.

Jesus raised us up with Him with His resurrection. The last thing we should ever try to do is resurrect the condemned fleshly desires of our old lives. Instead we should live according to the Spirit that lives in us.
